Our team of seventeen perineal and pelvic physiotherapists is at the forefront of the latest advancements in the field of perinatal care. Our passion has led us to develop several assessment and treatment tools. Our mission is to provide comprehensive care for pregnant women during pregnancy and after childbirth, and to ensure the proper development of the child.

The consequences of pregnancy and childbirth account for 80% of pelvic floor issues in women. The pelvic floor consists of muscles that surround the vaginal, urethral and anal openings in women. Proper functioning of these muscles prevents urine and fecal leakage, organ prolapse and ensures optimal sexual function.

The importance of pelvic floor assessment during pregnancy and after childbirth is unanimous. Through exercises, advices, manual techniques, teaching and biofeedback, we ensure optimal recovery from various perineal issues and proactively prevent their occurrence in women at risk.

Typically, there are three appointments during pregnancy: the first around 15-20 weeks, the second around 25-28 weeks, and the third around 34 weeks. Your partner is welcome to attend the final meeting before childbirth!

Interdisciplinary intervention during the breastfeeding period

The involvement of different professionals (physiotherapist, osteopath and acupuncturist) is crucial for managing these conditions:

  1. Inflammatory mastitis
  2. Nipple pain during breastfeeding
  3. Pain in the pelvis, back, shoulders, arms and wrists during breastfeeding
  4. Access to medical prescriptions by the nurse *Under specific conditions.

Osteopathy and acupuncture

Osteopathy and acupuncture can accompany women throughout their family project by preparing the mother’s body for the arrival of a possible baby and reducing the risk of developing problems during pregnancy. Indeed, this period, like childbirth, requires the body to adapt to multiple rapid and significant changes. To make the most of this experience, osteopathy offers treatments before, during and after pregnancy to facilitate every stage of this adventure, while ensuring the well-being of both mother and baby-to-be.

Massage therapy

Massage is an effective way to relieve certain discomforts during pregnancy. It soothes back pain, improves posture, promotes good sleep, reduces the effects of stress and anxiety, improves blood circulation, etc. It accompanies the pregnant woman throughout her pregnancy.

Testimonials

We came first and foremost to learn a few techniques to better prepare for childbirth. We were charmed by the meeting full of information and tips. I wasn’t very confident about giving birth because it was my first baby and I was told that I was older and that it would be harder to recover afterwards. My delivery was amazing and after 3 months I was running again without sequelae. For me, it’s a miracle! Thank you so much!
